Our History
Thirty years ago a group of doctors dreamt of a university hospital that could fulfill the triple task of caring, teaching and researching, as well as providing society with the best technically trained and ethical prepared professionals. Doctors César Bergadá, Ricardo Dodds, Leonardo Mc Lean and Enrique Malbrán, were, among aothers, the pionners. The Faculty of Biomedical Sciences of the Austral University was born in 1996, and the first class of medical doctors and nurses graduated in 2001.
Together with the inauguration of the faculty, the project leaders contacted the businessman Greogorio Pérez Companc, who along with his family, generously agreed to support the development of the dreamed hsopital. Since then, the hospital and the faculty work as a team, unifying efforts, knowledge and teaching to take on each challange.

Our Services
Is to provide excellence and cost effective high complexity medical services, and eventually combined with attractive pleasure and leisure activities. Our role is to guide the patient that arrives at Argentina for medical treatment from the moment he gets off the plane until he gets back home.
We have the most renowned specialists and a customer service staff devoted to provide the best attention to each patient, both in the organization of the trip and during their stay in Argentina.
Austral University Hospital provides a variety of medical treatments. In order to make it easier for our patients, we offer a standard trip package for each treatment that includes accommodation, transportation and personal assistance service.
However, the patient may request variations of the standard package: the patient may choose to undergo two or more treatments on the same trip, to travel with a friend or relative, or request different accommodations. If you wish to make any changes on the standard package, we suggest you to visit the section of our site called "Plan Your Medical Trip" and follow the instructions. This will help us offer you a personalized medical trip that will be more adequate to your needs.
We may also offer you a variety of tourist trips to visit different areas of Argentina. If you have applied for a surgical treatment, we recommend you to plan your tourist trip for the days before the treatment, since it is quite probable that you will have to remain in bed for a few days after the surgery.
Our Guarantee
If for any reason you decide not to receive your surgery through our qualified Medical Staff, your deposit will be refunded by Austral Universuty Hospital within 5 business days.
Following, are two scenarios that reflect this possibility:
1) If you make the decision not to leave your country., you will not incur any financial loss. Your full deposit will be refunded.
2) If you have traveled to Argentina, and decide not to receive your surgery, the only costs you will be responsible for will be your airfare and hotel expenses before you return home. Your full deposit will be refunded.
